CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
We value family! Your kids are important to us, so we have created a place for them to learn about Jesus on their level where the Bible is taught in creative, fun, and relevant ways.
We have a series of programs designed to encourage faith-based conversation with children and support them in their Christian walk. No matter their age there is something just for them at York Street!
YORKIE KIDS
Yorkie Kids is our Sunday morning kids church program, that runs alongside our 11AM service. The formal Yorkie Kids program caters to all children from kindergarten to grade 6.
Be sure to check your kids in ahead of the 11AM service!
We also have supervised creche facilities available for children aged 18 months – to 3 years.
Children are welcome in any of our services, we also have baby-change facilities and a cry room for your convenience.
FRIDAY FUNZONE
Friday Funzone is our relaxed, fun, and friendly after-school program for kids in grades 4 and 5. Kids engage in active games as well as quieter activities, with yummy afternoon tea provided. Held fortnightly on Fridays, 4pm-5.30pm during the school term.
» Small Groups
Real life happens every day. Don’t face it alone. Sometimes life comes in the form of joy and happiness; other times it comes in pain and suffering. No matter what your season in life, our desire is to help you connect.
Being part of a small group allows your relational and spiritual journey to be taken deeper and provides a place where real and authentic community takes place. You can enjoy doing life together…study the Bible, laugh, cry, care for each other and serve together.
We have many types of groups. Some meet weekly, others fortnightly or monthly. Some are during the day, others run in the evening. Some are specifically for youth, young adults, adults in their 20’s and 30’s, couples, mothers, men, women while others are mixed demographics.
God designed us to be connected with each other so we can continue to grow in every facet of our lives, and we believe that being a part of a small group will impact your life in a positive way.
YOUTH MINISTRY

CONVERGE YOUTH
Is where teenagers can belong! It gives young people a fun place to connect with God and others. Activity and Bible study nights bring youth together and take them deeper in their faith. It’s a place where they can hear and experience the love of God and discover who he created them to be. Converge is held on Friday evenings, 6.30pm-9pm for those in grade 6 – year 12, during the school term.
Converge also has an annual camp, Increase Conference and participates in State Youth Games.
There is also a year 7 and 8 program that runs during our 10.30am service on Sundays during the school term.
» Young Adults
Space for young adults to come together and grow in their faith. Our young adult small groups are our main connection and discipleship program.
Is committed to seeing women thrive and make a positive difference in our neighbourhood and world. There are regular events organised and Bible studies that women can be involved in, for example a monthly breakfast and lake walk.
Generally meet on the first Saturday of the month at the church for a hearty 2 course breakfast, DVD and chat.
A group of craft loving people who meet for a time of fun, fellowship and craft each Friday.
» ALPHA
A series of interactive sessions that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith. Come for a bite to eat, watch a talk and have a chat. Over 27 million people worldwide have explored the big questions of life through Alpha. You’re invited to join the journey here.
